Roger Jackson Obituary

A service to celebrate the life of Roger Jackson of Cayce will be held at 5pm Saturday May 20, 2023 in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service with Rev. Clayton Shumpert will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Roger passed away Thursday May 18, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Columbia and was the son of the late Theron Maxie Jackson and Velma Rucker Jackson. Roger was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He retired from DOT as a surveyor after 30 years of service.

Roger is survived by his brother, Bobby Joe Jackson, niece, Kayla Ashley Williams, great niece and nephew, Veronica Hayes Salley and Branton Liam Mack; longtime special friend, Debra “Sissy” Fogle, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles Theron Jackson.
