He recently attended Crossroads Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
Anyone who met Phil loved him for his kind heart, generous spirit and great sense of humor. Keeping family and friends together was important to Phil. He accomplished this by having the yearly Christmas party for his family and many get-togethers for his friends, including SuperBowl parties and the annual Bull-Redman Golf Tournament. Some of his other favorite pastimes were boiling peanuts, watching Carolina sports, and spoiling his many nieces, nephews and grands. And no matter the topic of conversation, Phil always had a funny story to tell.
