Loretta Olivia Davis

A service to celebrate the life of Loretta Olivia Turner Davis, 80, of Cayce will be held at 11:00 am Thursday July 6, 2023 at Springdale Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Southland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Springdale Baptist Church, 357 Wattling Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.
Mrs. Davis passed away Monday July 3, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbia and was the daughter of the late Edwin L. Turner and Sarah Frances Turner Rodgers. Mrs. Davis enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith show and listening to Elvis and Travis Tritt. She also would enjoy spending time watching hummingbirds and cardinals in her yard and playing with her four legged companion, Sam. Mrs. Davis was a member of Springdale Baptist Church and the Friends of Faith Sunday school class. 
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Donna (David) Shumpert, Sylvia (Robbie) Broughton and Elizabeth (Greg) Stark; grandchildren, Valerie Platt (Robbin), David Shumpert, Jr. (Sonita), Christian Shumpert, Jimmy Brougton (Rebekah), Tyler Broughton, Kimberly Shumpert and Ricky Brougton; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Rodgers (Joanne) and Bo Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents, former spouse, Jimmy Boyd Davis, brother, Ronald Turner and sister, Elizabeth Rodgers.
