John “Jack” Lawrence Crawford

John (Jack) Lawrence Crawford, 71, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away June 15, 2022. He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and was the son of the late John and Helen Crawford. Jack enjoyed boating and fishing and was known by his friends and family as Captain Jack. He followed in his grandfather, Lawrence Segreve's, footsteps and became an over-the-road truck driver for many years. Then, Jack worked as a Senior Corrections Officer before retiring from East Jersey State Prison in Rahway, New Jersey. He later relocated to South Carolina in 2017.

Jack is survived by his sons, Danny and Dennis Crawford; grandson, Gunner Crawford; sister, Carol Crawford, brother, Richard (Terry) Crawford, sister, Susan (Bob) Scully; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Jack's wish for his final resting place was to be alongside his late parents at Forest Green Park Cemetery, in Marborol, New Jersey. A celebration of life will follow at a later date for friends and family.
