James Nataniel Pearce went to see The Man Upstairs about a dog on August 2, 2023 at the age of 62.
He was born in Orlando, Florida in February 1961 and worked as a mill operator, but those who knew Jimmy will attest that he knew something about everything and could’ve worked all kinds of jobs, including BBQ pitmaster with his own signature sauce.
He was also an avid hunter, regular attendee of the Grand American Coon Hunt, lover of the outdoors in his trademark hat, fan of the Florida State Seminoles, and somehow trained more hound dogs than kids and grandkids, even though he had a lot of those.
James is survived by his wife, Sharon, and four children - Donald, Jaclyn (Jacori), Allen, and Jennifer (Adam) - as well as his sister, Rachel, and brother, Richard. He is also survived by his grandchildren - Breanna, Antwan, Addison, Jamison, Hailey, Nate - and is preceded in death by his daughter, Natasha, and grandchildren Teanna, Keanna, Mia, and Isaiah. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Alice and George, and his sisters, Susan and Renee.
Family and friends are welcome to come together and pay their respects at Moseley Funeral Home (914 Meeting St., West Columbia) on Saturday August 5, 2023 between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.
