A gathering of family and witness for Emily Rena Darnell,
52, formerly of Pelion will be held on Wednesday November 9, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service, 914 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29169. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
Emily passed away November 4th, 2022. She was born in Orangeburg and was the daughter of the late Noah Clinton Lucas, Sr. and Clayrena Jackson. Emily survived Breast Cancer battles and was a certified pharmaceutical technician and had studied to be a nurse. She also was a writer and poet.
Emily is survived by her husband, Jonathan Darnell; mother: Elizabeth Lucas-Engwall; children: Quinton Tyler, Michael (Kirsten) Tyler Jr., Rebecca Jackson, Machelle Darnell Simmons... and her sweet pup Bentley Darnell. Grandchildren: Logan, Landon, Layla, Peyton, Zailynn, Anslee-Jade, Gabryel, Danielle, Madison, Kaleigh, Michael Lewis II, great grandchildren: Madielyn, Haelyn, Arielyn; Brothers, nieces and nephews: Luke (Pam) Lucas, Billy (Cindy) Lucas, Ray Burgess, Brittany, Clint (Michelle) Lucas, Katie, Ethan and Kyler, Greg (Andrea) Lucas, Bradyn, Hannah
Sister, nieces and nephews, Donna (Bobby) Watts, Dalton, Monica, Brenda Burgess, Tiffany, Reba Chavis and  Savannah.  Emily is Preceded by her grandchild Madison Simmons and Nephew Kyler Lucas.
