Obituary
Eddie L. McElhaney, Jr. of Gaston passed away Tuesday August 15, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. A service to celebrate his life will held at 1:30pm Saturday August 26, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1330 Whippoorwill drive, West Columbia SC 29169.
Eddie was born in Augusta, GA and was the son of the late Eddie L. McElhaney, Sr. and Betty Howard McElhaney. He was a volunteer fire fighter with Capital View Fire Department, loved sports and the Atlanta Braves, the Gamecocks and golf. His greatest joy was his mission in Utah with LDS and was a member of the COJCOLS. He also worked for many years in the grocery industry.
Eddie is survived by his brothers, Joe (Elaine) and George McElhaney and sister, Julie Brown; nephew, Jordan McElhaney; aunts and cousins.
