Obituary
Denise Hicks left her earthly home and gained her angel wings on April 17, 2023. She was born on March 12, 1952 to Martha Phipps and Obediah Watson in Lexington, SC.
She met her husband, Lloyd Gene Hicks, at Joel Baptist Church where they both attended. They would have celebrated their 55th Anniversary this June. They have resided in Gilbert, SC for the last 44 years.
In the late 70s, Denise drove the special needs school bus for Lexington District 2 and later, she worked at Gilbert Elementary school teaching in the computer lab. Denise was a devoted and loving wife, mother, Granny, and Mimi.
Denise is survived by her husband, Gene, two children Kevin and Katie, son in law Chris, 3 grandsons Aiden, Blake, and Morgan as well as her brother Paul Watson.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 7:00-9:00pm at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service of West Columbia. Graveside service will be provided by Pastor Dennis Metts at Celestial Memorial Gardens in West Columbia on Friday, April 21, 2023 at 2:00pm.
