Carol Smith

Mrs. Carol Jean Smith, age 74, of Gaston, passed away Thursday morning, October  14, 2021, at her residence.

She was born May 4, 1947, in Lexington County, a daughter of the late Arthur and Pauline Smith of West Columbia.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Monroe Smith Jr,a daughter; Faith Angelia Moore; one brother, Wayne Smith; a sister, Elaine James. 

She was the kindest woman you would ever meet. She enjoyed playing bingo with her family and friends. She loved her Gamecock Football and Nascar racing.

Carol is survived by two sons James Smith (Crystal), Phillip Smith (Paula) ,five grandchildren; Angelia Walker (Phillip), Josh Moore( Brittany),Tyler Smith, Trevor Smith, Kayla Smith, Ryan Smith, Roger Pendleton ( Tiffany); five great grandchildren; Koltin Walker, Braxxton and Sophia Moore,Ella Grace, Audrey Pendleton; her sisters, Barbara Brogden, Sherry Rogers(Allen), Edna Palmer. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Visitation will be 9-11 At Moseley's Funeral home directly before the graveside service.

Funeral service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Gibson Cemetery in west columbia sc  at 3111 Delree Street 

Carol's family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
