William Cecil Thomason

February 15, 1941 — July 31, 2016

A graveside service to celebrate the life of William Cecil Thomason, 75, of Lexington will held 10 am August 5, 2016 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors and masonic rites. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday August 4, 2016 at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SC Shriners Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Mr. Thomason passed away Sunday July 31, 2016 at his home. He was born in Bluefield, VA and was the son of the late William E. and Nora V. Mayberry Thomason. Mr. Thomason retired from the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the DAV and was a Master Mason and member of Cayce Masonic Lodge No. 384.
Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife Janet E. Thomason; children, Shari L. (Steve) Solesbee; Michael D. Thomason, William C. (Tamara) Thomason; brother, James Thomason; grandchildren, Kimberly Thomason, Chelsa Clay and Emile Harshbarger; great grandchildren, Noah, Zao, Elizabeth, Mikaela and Freya.
