Tommie George Shealy

Tom Shealy, 57, of West Columbia was born in Henderson, Vance County, NC to the late Colie Blease Shealy and the late Carrie Spires Shealy. He graduated from Vance County High School and Midlands Technical College. Long distance trucking was his joy and his profession. Music, reading, good food, fishing and story telling were the things that brought him the most pleasure in life and by which he will be remembered. He was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church.  He is survived by one brother, Alvin Shealy of Henderson, NC; sister, Annie Shealy Kirby of Gaston, SC; sister, Betty Shealy Simmons of Hayesville, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large number of friends he accumulated in his travels across the country. No public services are scheduled at present due to current public health considerations. A memorial gathering and scattering of ashes will be held at a later date.
