Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Tager

September 29, 1952 — January 25, 2024

Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Tager,  71, of Pelion passed away with his family by his side on January 25, 2024. He was born in Columbia South Carolina and was the son of the late Mary Baker and Ernest Tager. Tommy was a graduate of job corps in Oakland, California, and spent a short term in the US Navy receiving a medical discharge. He spent most of his career in the HVAC/apartment maintenance profession and found his passion in fixing things from appliances, lawn equipment, and everything in between. Tommy loved his San Francisco 49ers and fishing. He was also the life of the party and would be found, pulling pranks, telling jokes, and keeping everyone laughing with his witty comments. Tommy was pre-deceased by his parents, sister, Gladys Crews, brothers, Talmadge Mitchell, Ronnie Mitchell, Charles Mitchell, and David Mitchell and his lifelong best friend Frankie Jefferson. Tommy is survived by his children, Shane Tager, Brian (Kim) Stewart and  Kerry (Shawn) Wooten and his grandchildren who he was so proud of Kaylie Wooten and Dawson Wooten; Brothers, Jimmy Tager and Horace Tager and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
