Theron Maxie Jackson

Theron Maxie Jackson, 97, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2019. He was born on July 7, 1922 in Swansea, SC and was a son of the late Fred Lee and Bertha Argoe Jackson. Theron enjoyed a good cigar and spending time on the front porch. A true outdoors-man, he fished and gardened. He was passionate about his tomato plants. He worked for Jackson Construction for 20 years as well as spent many years as a truck driver. Theron will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Velma Jackson; brothers, Fred Lee Jackson, Jr, Curtis Lavern Jackson, John Tillman Jackson, James Roy Jackson; and his sisters, Willie Mae Shumpert, Mary Ruth Jackson and Betty Louise Jackson. Left to cherish his memory are his three sons, Roger, Bobby Joe, and Charles Jackson; and sister, Harriett White (Warren). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC 29170.
