Theodore “Ted” Reiter, 63, went to be with Jesus on January 12, 2023. Born in Queens, NY to Karl & Maria Reiter he grew up in Forest Hills; He was a graduate with his GED, worked as a trained machinist at Precision Gear for many years, trained in automotive mechanics then moved to South Carolina in the early 90’s. He was hired by Kimberly-Clark Corporation where he worked in Rolled Paper as a Processor. He retired after 15 years due to his diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. He was married to Jeanne C. Reiter until her passing in 2009. They had three children. He remarried in 2015 to Sandra K. Reiter and 3 grown children as family. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Lexington on Barr Rd; He’s gave generously to the U-Turn for Christ ministry there. At home he watched his NY Yankees play on tv and he enjoyed cheering them on! He loved his three cats Sylvester, Robbie, & Andy. He loved traveling and going to Myrtle Beach with his son Nick and grandson Owen. His cooking skills were chef worthy in German cuisine, BBQ and five cheese Mac & Cheese! He loved the holidays as well seeing his grandchildren who were his greatest joy in life. He saw his granddaughter Ally get baptized, & two daughters. He is and always will be Sandra’s best friend & partner in life and loss. She lost her life partner and it will never be the same without his laughter or teasing, his beautiful smile and fatherly advice. He is missed dearly by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years & parents Karl & Maria Reiter, sister Marianne Macri, stepson Ryan Martin, granddaughter Gabrielle Reiter, and pets Chewy, SamSam and many more. He is survived by his second wife Sandra Kay Reiter. His two sons Stephen Reiter(Sheena), Nicholas Reiter, & Angela Reiter(Dominic) Step-children Jessica Martin (Amanda) & Kimberly Fulmer (Rane). Step-Grandchildren Michael Roper(Kylie) & Justin Roper, Jason (Elizabeth) McCord, Ally & TJ Mabe, Owen A. Reiter & MacRaney Fulmer V. Great-grandchildren Samuel Roper and John & Jackson McCord. Three sisters survived him as well. Irene (Oto) Linare, Gisela (Harry) Kobayashi, & Ruth (Dave) Reiter. And many nieces and nephews. a service to celebrate his life will be Monday at 1pm in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home. His cremated remains will be interred at Woodridge Memorial Park.
