Sylvia T Smith

Sylvia T. Smith formerly from Elloree, SC went to the arms of Jesus Sept. 4, 2018 just shy of her 86th birthday.  She was born Sept. 5, 1932 in Berkeley County.

She was the widow of Hershel P. Smith.  Mother of Joey Taylor (Rhonda) of Lexington SC, Valerie Dunlap of Clyde, NC, Preston Smith (Gloria) of Richmond Hill, GA, and Abby Bradley (Jeff) of West Columbia, SC. Grandmother to Rick Taylor, April Taylor, John Dunlap, Wesley Dunlap (Chris), Camie Smith, Anna Smith, Rachel Smith, Olivia Bradley and precious Andrew Bradley born into the arms of Jesus, Great Grandmother to Cate Taylor and soon to be baby Kairi Lane Smith.  StepMom to Brenda Dean, Grandma to Lisa Ross and Scott Dean, Great Grandmother to Justin Ross and Casey Ross, and Great Great Grandmother to Jase Ross

She is predeceased by her brothers William Poseskie, Paul Poseskie, Frank Poseskie and her sister Ann Keller.  She is survived by two sisters Mary Felkel of SC and Merris Benefield of Tennessee.  She is also survived by her dearest friends Betty Polin and Helen Bouldrick of Elloree, SC.

Sylvia was known for her love of reading and beautiful flowers.  She was the owner of Sylvia’s Flowers of Elloree SC.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11am in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Services with the Rev. John O’Cain officiating the service.  Visitation will follow the service at the funeral home.
