Suzanne Wofford Santana passed away November 30, 2016, after a brave fight against breast cancer. She was born November 29, 1965, to Sue E. Wofford and the late Benjamin W. Wofford. She is survived by her husband Edgar R. Santana and her two daughters Christine Lip and Carmen Corley; her mother Sue E. Wofford; her brother Ben Wofford; and sisters Kelly Wofford and Diane Wilson.
Suzanne was a lifelong South Carolinian. She attended Brookland-Cayce High School and earned a sociology degree from Columbia College. Always the artist, she performed in an improv troupe, an interpretive dance group, as well as, modeling and acting. She loved gardening and traveling a
nd
had a beautiful, loving spirit that uplifted everyone she came into contact with.
Suzanne was passionate about helping others – especially international students and refugees. She hosted several international students and volunteered with the Columbia International Festival for several years. Also, she loved pets and rescued many dogs in her lifetime.
