Sara (Vickery) Meelhaney

Sara Vickery McElhaney of Wilmuth Circle,  West Columbia went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday,  April 30th.  She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband,  George Edgar McElhaney and loving mother to their son,  Jordan Edward McElhaney. Sara last worked as an executive coordinator for the Harvest Hope Food Bank and was a member of Mccloud United Methodist Church of Columbia. Sara was the daughter of Dr.  Robert Lee Vickery, Jr. And Doris Gaddy Poole Vickery,  both deceased.  She also had several siblings,  Julia V Pace (Hugh Pace) of Spartanburg, SC,  Emily V Walzer (Manfred Walzer) of Germany,  Ross Lee Vickery (Tammy Vickery) of Inman,  SC,  Paula H Settles (David Settles) of Inman,  SC,  and Rev Michael B Henderson (Cathy Henderson) of Florence,  SC,  along with lots of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly! The one thing that anybody could say about Sara is that she always put others before herself.  She dearly loved her family,  friends and pets and will be missed dearly! A memorial service will be held for Sara on Saturday,  May 4th at 11:30 at Willow Ridge Baptist Church in the youth center.
