Russell "Russ" G. Frederick, Jr.

A service to celebrate the life of Russell “Russ” G. Frederick,  Jr., 64, of Gaston will be held Monday, January 7, 2018 at 12:30 PM in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow the service with Marine Corps honors at Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2 PM . the family will receive friends Sunday January 6, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Russ passed away Tuesday January 1, 2019. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and was the son of the late Russell G. Frederick, Sr. and Marjorie Ann Glass Frederick. Russ was considered the neighborhood DAD and enjoyed baseball and auctions and was a avid Gamecock fan.

Russ is survived by his children, Olivia Mitchem, Jessie (Dana) Frederick and Russell G. Frederick, III; grandchildren, Haleigh Mitchem, Payton Mitchem and Carter Simpson; siblings, Marjorie Pease, Sharon Stevens, Emma Mae Mckinnies, John Frederick, Clifford Frederick, Gloria Morgan, Alice Morgan and Mary Jo Neely. Russ was preceded in death by his son in law, Jason Mitchem.
