Romain (Durham) Chappell

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Romain Durham Chappell, 89, of West Columbia will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday May 19, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm-2:00pm on Wednesday prior to the service at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. Please make memorials to Holland Avenue Baptist Church, 801 12th Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Mrs Chappell passed away Friday May 14, 2021. She was born in Easley, SC and was the daughter of the late Hermit and Etta Durham. She was a member of Holland Avenue Baptist Church. Mrs. Chappell enjoyed crocheting and taught piano. Mrs. Chappell is survived by her loving children, Lyndon (Susie) Chappell of Cartersville Ga. Diana Johnson of West Columbia, Joseph Chappell of Lexington and Eddy (Martha) Chappell of West Columbia; daughter in law, Carole Chappell of Columbia; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild due in a few months. Mrs. Chappell was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Chappell and sons, Richard and Lavell Chappell.
