Robin Hood

August 6, 1966 — September 12, 2021

Robin William Hood, 55, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Born on August 6, 1966 in Columbia, SC. He was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson Hood, Jr. and Judy Alice Chandler.

He was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and attended Sumter Area Tech and CPI truck driving school.

Robin was an avid fisherman. He loved nothing better than being on the Congaree with a rod in his hand. He absolutely loved to feed people. He was a G-pa to his grandchildren and around town he was known as the P-nut man. He loved life and to listen to a good story. He loved to laugh and his laugh was contagious.

In addition to his parents, Robin was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Woodrow and Peggy Hood and Robert and Florrie Chandler.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ryan Hood (Brittany), and Kayla Hood Brazell (Ryan); sister, Kristie Hood Spires (Bryan); significant other, Melissa Gainey-Hood; grandchildren, Leighton and Blayke Hood and Beau Brazell; as well as his niece and nephew, Jackson (Ashley) and Randa Dukes.

Robin was a Southern Baptist and was baptized in the Congaree River. He read his bible daily and loved to post scriptures on Facebook. His family takes comfort in knowing he is with his Lord and Savior.

Robin spent his last day surrounded by his loved ones and passed peacefully in his sleep. The P-nut man will be missed by all that knew him.
