Robert Noah Senn, Sr. 81, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Friday, November 20 at Mount Hebron United Methodist Church in West Columbia followed by visitation. Mr. Senn was born December 10, 1933 in Lexington County to the late Noah William Senn and Annie Corley Senn. He was a 1952 graduate o f Brookland-Cayce High School and enjoyed a long career in sales. Mr. Senn was a lifelong member of Mt Hebron United Methodist Church, a charter member of the United Methodist Men, and honored as a Lifetime Member of the United Methodist Men. Among other proud moments in the service to the church, he was active in restoring and preserving the National Historic Registry Temperance Hall, served on the Trustees, and chaired the cemetery committee for over 15 years. He was on the Lexington C ounty Zoning Board of Adjustments for 15 years, having served as chairperson for many of those years. Mr. Senn enjoyed collecting and restoring classic cars, gardening and playing golf. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family.
Survived by his wife of 60 years, Diane Coward Senn, and children: Robert Jr. and Nancye Senn, Laura and James Day, Amy and Eric White, and Beth and Buddy Hook; 8 grandchildren, many nephews and nieces including his cherished niece Jackie Adkins and her husband Thomas. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings and a niece.
