Robert Odelle Barnes, Sr. of Chapin, SC, passed away on March 21, 2024. He was born on January 24, 1941 in Palatka, FL to James O. Barnes and Margie Dickert (Alfred). He was retired from Derrick Insulation Company.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Emmie Sue Barnes, a daughter, Susan Michelle Barnes Kennedy (Mitzi) (Larry Poston), a son, Robert O. Barnes, Jr. (Robby) (Jean), and three grandchildren (Daniel Kennedy, Hannah Kennedy, and Will Barnes). He was predeceased by a daughter,
Mary Elizabeth Barnes (Betsy).
A requiem mass will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Good Shepard Episcopal Church at 11am. The family will receive friends in the parish hall from 10-10:35 am.
