Phillis Joanne Cunningham, 53, passed away on December 10, 2016 in her home in Lexington, SC.
She was born in Aiken, SC on September 14, 1963. She was the daughter of Edward Eugene Franklin and Margie Lee Knight. She graduated from Airport High School and attended Midland's Technical College. Most recently, she held the position of a caregiver.
She belonged to Gethsemane Baptist Church, where her two sons, daughters-in-law and five of her grandchildren also attended. Phillis greatly enjoyed spending time with loved ones, especially when she was playing with her six grandchildren. She had a great love and passion for God. She loved the Lord and wasn't ashamed to express that love.
Phillis was a woman who always wore her heart on her sleeve and her expressions openly on her face. You knew when she was incredibly happy, but you also knew otherwise. And it cannot be denied that that she was and incredibly funny person who wanted nothing more than to make others laugh. Her sense of humor and giant personality were among her best qualities.
She is survived by her mother, father and her siblings, Cheryl Guzman Cruz (Juan), Michael Knight and Jason Knight. She is also survived by her children, Jennifer Henderson, Brandon Cunningham (Lindsey) and Ryan Cunningham (Rachel); her grandchildren, Robert Brandon Jr., Laikyn Estelle, Blake Joseph, Lynley Ann, Laelyn Rae, and Katherine Olivia and by her nephews, Trevor Knight, Christian Knight, Christopher Roach, and Blaze Knight.
