Pearl D. Gunter

A service to celebrate the life of Lula Pearl Backman Derrick Gunter, 101, of Lexington will be held Monday July 9, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Greenhill Baptist Church, Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Greenhill Baptist Church to assist in funeral expenses for Mrs. Gunter. Mrs. Gunter passed away Thursday July 5, 2018. She was born in Lexington county and was the daughter of the Danie And Maria Miller Backman. Mrs. Gunter was a member of Greenhill Baptist Church and loved fishing. Mrs. Gunter is survived by her children, Caroline Christine Bennett, Sylvia Vivian Derrick and Deborah Andrena Boykin; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; siblings, Annie Bell Shoemake Gunter, Vonita McFarland, Thelma Dyches, Clyde Backman and Frank Backman.
