Pauletta Taylor Parker

We regretfully announce the passing of Pauletta Taylor Parker , who passed away on March 3 1st , 202 1 . Pauletta had a difficult battle with cancer and is finally at rest. She will be forever loved and forever remembered.

Pauletta was born on August 26, 1954 to Paul Ray Taylor and Patricia Faye Oswald Taylor in Columbia, SC granddaughter of the late Lester T. Oswald and Rosa Belle Areheart Oswald Shealy Cook, and step granddaughter of the late James Hinkle Shealy .

After graduating from Airport High School in 1972, she went on to study nursing at the University of South Carolina where she earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Nursing.

She lived a full and vibrant life.  She loved nature, flowers, and all of her animals.

Pauletta was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Patricia.  She is survived by her husband, Ray Kannaday ; her sisters, Pamela Taylor and Patricia Taylor ; her step-daughters, Tracy (Scott) and Alison (Todd) ; step-grandchildren ; and great grandchild. Graveside Service s will be held at Mount Hermon Lutheran Church at 3011 Leaphart Road West Columbia, SC 29169 on April 5 th at 3 : 0 0 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lucy Areheart Circle of Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church  or the Florida Yorkie Rescue, run by Kit Roche .
