Patricia Ann Staup

Patricia Ann Staup, age 85, passed away August 5th 2018 in West Columbia, SC.

Patricia was born February 24th 1933 in Adrian, MI to the late Frank and Nora (Trainor)

Brezovits. She grew up in Lima, OH, where she married the late Vernon E. Staup Jr. in 1952

and they later retired to Santee, SC.

Mrs. Staup spent many years working as a doctor’s assistant, which she thoroughly loved. She

was an Elder at the Presbyterian Church of Santee and was active with the Bradford Village

Association in Santee before being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2011.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother; Carl Brezovits,

stepfather; Roy Milkreit, and half-brother; Edward Milkreit. She is survived by her children;

Ronald Staup (Julie) of Florida and Lisa Lautenschlager of South Carolina; grandchildren,

Matthew Staup, Chad Staup, Samantha Staup, Adam Lautenschlager (Courtney) and Blair

Lautenschlager; and 5 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank NHC of West Columbia, Caris Healthcare, and Comfort Care

Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s

Association of South Carolina.
