Oral Eugene “Geno” Bleckley

April 2, 1959 – July 4, 2025
Oral Eugene Bleckley, lovingly known as “Geno,” passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, South Carolina. He was 66 years old.  Born on April 2, 1959, in Anderson, South Carolina, Geno was the beloved son of William Eugene Bleckley and Helen Ayers. A graduate of Airport High School, he was known for his warm spirit and his easy smile.
Geno is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Theresa Bleckley, along with several nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Geno. Though he and Theresa did not have children, Geno cherished his family deeply and shared a bond with his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William Earnest Bleckley.
A lifelong South Carolinian, Geno was an avid golfer and a passionate Carolina Gamecocks fan. He also had a deep love for his fur babies, Summer and Tsali, who have gone before him.
A funeral service to honor Geno’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service, 914 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC 29469. The family will receive friends and loved ones for visitation beginning at 3:00p.m., prior to the service.
Geno will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and the love he gave so freely. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
