Nathan Andrew Nabors

On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Nathan Andrew Nabors beloved son passed away at age 35. Nathan was born on November 3, 1983 in Orlando, Florida to Nathan Ely and Julie Dywan Weese (Nabors). He served his country in the United State Army as a Field Artillery Tactical Data Systems Specialist with the 10th Mountain Division, 525 Field Artillery Unit based at Ft. Polk, Louisiana. He was deployed to Afghanistan and assigned to FOB Warrior on the Pakistani Border where he served with distinction, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 2008. Nate had a great passion for music, playing in the Dreher High School Marching band and pursuing this passion by teaching himself to play Acoustic guitar. The music became a voice for his thoughts and feelings. He was training to become a Luthier. He received an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Midlands Tech and was pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Columbia College. Nate was known for his kind and loving heart. He loved his rescue dogs giving them all special nicknames and treating them like children. Nate is survived by his Mother and stepfather, Julie and Jeff Weese, his father, Nathan Ely Nabors, brothers, Jacob Ely Nabors,(Marie, daughters, Madison Marie and Audrey Elizabeth); Aaron Allen Nabors (daughter, Kallie Alexis), Carson James Nabors, Ethan Quinn Nabors, Ely Main Nabors and Adam Lewis Nabors in addition to His Grandfather, Andrew Frank Dywan; Uncles Duke Andrew Dywan, Andrew Allen Dywan (Dianne) ,Cousins Joseph Duke Dywan (Amanda, son Tristan, daughter Peyton) and Elizabeth Jada Dywan. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2PM at City of Hope Worship Center 1403 D. Avenue, West Columbia, South Carolina. The family will receive visitors starting at 1PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his honor to Lexington County Animal Services, 321 Ball Park Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
