Miriam F. King

Miriam F. (Morris) King, 92, of West  Columbia  passed  away on Saturday December 1, 2017 Surrounded by family and friends. She was born in West Columbia  January 18, 1925 to Bennie and Birdie Fowler. She was a lifelong   member of the First Baptist Church of West Columbia,   where she was involved in many of the church ministries.

Miriam is survived by her faithful daughter, Susan R. Morris of Columbia and son, Michael Morris (Denise) of Cataula, GA, And two grandchildren, Lindsey Peters of Orlando, FL and Kendall Wesely  (Ross) of Woodstock GA. She is also survived by her brother, Eric L. Fowler (Doris) of West Columbia  and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bennie and Birdie fowler, Her loving husband of 41 years, Edward W, Morris and after 9 years she married Hubert King who passed away after 11 months and brother Raymond Fowler.

A special thank you to her care givers for their wonderful care and devotion to Mrs. King,  Melissa  Kozlowski,  Amber Houser,  Tammy Cano and all care givers at Jenni- Lynn Senior Living.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at the First Baptist Church of West Columbia at 2:00p.m Monday, December  4, 2017 .Burial will follow the service at SouthLand Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends  one hour  before the service at the church.  Rev.  Philip  Howle  and Rev.  Charlton Bozard will officiate.
