Michelle Lyne Moseley (Mickie), 63, of Columbia, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 11 at First Presbyterian Church, 1324 Marion Street, Columbia, SC 29201 at 3:00 PM with visitation beginning at 2:00 PM in Jackson Hall. The Reverend Bryan Bult will officiate.
Mickie was born on December 20, 1960 in Tachikawa Air Force Base, Japan. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Richard and Danette Charlene Siders Follett, Jr.
Mickie was predeceased by her grandson, Stephen Vincent Moseley, her nephew, Jordan Kyle Hinson, and her brother-in-law, Steven Lawrence Strohm. Mickie graduated from Batesburg-Leesville High School in 1979 and then married Henry Stokes Moseley, Jr. (Hank). She began her career at Vogart and then worked at U.S. Silica for 23 years. At the age of 40, she went back to school while working full-time to earn her Associate and Bachelor degree in Business from Southern Weslyan University. She then took a position at DHL where she worked for 12 years prior to going on disability. Mickie enjoyed cooking with her family, especially finding recipes for her son, Trey, to try out. She also enjoyed baking with her grandson, Shawn. She was so happy when T-and-T were married and subsequently brought her another grandson, MJ, whom she enjoyed watching play. She loved spending time with the M & M sisters as they were affectionately called. She was an avid Eagles fan and traveled many a mile to see them perform twice in concert. She also was in a pool league at Chevy's, she loved her Chevy family. Mickie is survived by her son, Henry “Trey” Stokes Moseley III (Tiffany), grandsons Shawn Gabriel Moseley and Michael Joseph Moseley; sisters Marti Warren (M1) of Lancaster, SC, Mylene Strohm (M3) of Memphis, TN, and Mia Hinson (M4) of Lancaster, SC; niece Sara Warren of Heath Springs, SC, and nephews Chase Warren of Rock Hill, SC and Justin Hinson (Jordan) of Lancaster, SC. Josh Strohm of Memphis TN; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Hines of Columbia Nephrology, all the employees at Fresenius Kidney, and all the staff at Lexington Medical Center. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Columbia, SC or the charity of your choice.
