Meredith Coulter Dial

September 2, 1988 — August 20, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Meredith Coulter Dial on August 20, 2024. Meredith was the foundation of her family and a beacon of light to the Midlands community she loved so dearly.

Meredith was born September 2, 1988, to David and Alena Coulter in Columbia, SC. From the beginning, she radiated warmth and kindness that touched everyone she met. She was raised alongside her brother, Jacob, and was a proud graduate ofChapin High School and the University of South Carolina.

Meredith was a devoted wife to Chad, blessing his life immeasurably. Meredith and Chad were joined by their oldest son, Myatt in 2017, and their family was made complete just earlier this year when they were graced with the birth of their second son, Owen. Her family was the center of her world, and she remains the greatest mom, wife, daughter and sister that God could bestow upon this Earth.

Meredith will be best remembered by her infectious laugh and her limitless compassion. Her boundless charisma lit up theroom, touching everyone who knew her. She found immense joy through serving others, from her family and friends to people she’d just met.

In addition to her role as a devoted wife and mother, Meredithmade a lasting impact in her community. Her keen mind for marketing and community development grew Dial, Grimm and Rupert into a respected and community-oriented law firm; built on the premise of treating everyone like family and uplifting its referral partners and the industry as a whole.

She also blessed countless lives through her passion for making wishes come true through her service to Make-A-Wish South Carolina. In recognition of her limitless compassion and energy for the Make-A-Wish cause of delivering hope to deserving children in need across South Carolina she was named a member of the board.  Whether it was through her personal contributions, Dial, Grimm and Rupert’s sponsorships, or the Wishcelebrations she hosted, Meredith's influence and service was profound and will have a lasting impact on families for years to come.

Meredith’s greatest joys were her loved ones. She is survived by her beloved husband Chad, their children Myatt and Owen, her parents, David and Alena Coulter, her brother, Jacob, and his wife, Rebecca, and their children, Rachel and Thomas, and hergrandparents, Craig and Nancy Hess. While we grieve, we rejoice knowing that Meredith is joining her older brother,Matthew, as well as her grandparents, David and Sandra Coulter in Heaven.

The rich legacy of Meredith’s precious life will live on in the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Meredith to Make-A-Wish South Carolina.
