Melody Lynn (Long) Martin

A service to celebrate the life of Melody Lynn Long Martin, 65, of Gaston will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday September 1, 2021 in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. Burial will follow the service at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Martin passed away August 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gastonia, N.C. and was the daughter of Ann Gantt and the late Bill H. Long. Mrs. Martin enjoyed spending time with her family and adored pets.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her mother, Ann Gantt; children, Dorothy (Brad) Lincoln, Michael (Melanie) Pressley and Jack Hall; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren with one on the way; siblings, Pat Long, Libby Lever, Lydia Terry and Max “Perkins” Gantt. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by father and husband, Terry “Bulldog” Martin.
