Mattie Konwinski II

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Matthew Allen Konwinski II, lovingly known to family and friends as Mattie, on July 18, 2026, at the age of 31.

Born on June 13, 1995, at Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio, Mattie lived a life that left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome. His goofy personality, contagious charisma, and kind heart could brighten even the darkest days. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, expecting nothing in return.

Mattie had a deep love for the outdoors and found peace while fishing. He was incredibly talented with his hands, enjoying building things, working on anything with a motor, and bringing broken things back to life. He also possessed a remarkable artistic ability and had a true passion for drawing. Effortlessly intelligent, Mattie had an incredible knack for solving problems and could work through nearly any puzzle life placed before him. His creativity, determination, and generous spirit will be remembered by all who loved him.

Above all else, Mattie loved his family. He was a devoted father to his three beloved children, Addeline Rose, Levi, and Zander, who were the greatest blessings in his life.

Mattie is survived by his loving parents, Angela Konwinski and Matthew Konwinski; his sister, Brittani Konwinski; his younger brother, Michael Teague Jr.; his children, Addeline Rose, Levi, and Zander; his uncles Tim Konwinski (Trina), Michael Konwinski (Stacey), P.J. Meier (Denise), Gregory Meier (Linda), and Shawn Meier; as well as many loving cousins, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were made better simply by knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jeanette Konwinski, Timothy Konwinski, Paul Meier, and Rosalie Meier; and his uncle, Chad Meier.

Though our hearts are broken beyond words, we find comfort in knowing that Mattie's love, laughter, and unwavering kindness will continue to live on in the countless memories he created with those he loved. His absence leaves an unimaginable void, but his legacy will never fade.

Mattie, you were taken from us far too soon. We take comfort in believing that God has welcomed you home with open arms. You will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever remain in our hearts until we meet again.
