Marshall Monroe Buff

Marshall Monroe B uff, 86 , son of the late L eonard Hobson Buff, Sr. and Eliza Gunter Buff , died unexpect ed ly on January 19, 2021, while on vacation in Florida . He was born November 22, 1934 , and was a lif e long resident of W est Columbia, SC. M arshall was a member of Mt. Hebron UMC where he attended faithfully his entire life and sang in the choi r for 70 years.  He is a 1954 graduate of Brookland - Cayce High School and retired as a produce truck dr iver . He loved music , his ch urch and family, enjoyed family reunions , and never met a stranger .

A Graveside Memorial Service will be the held at 3 :00 PM on Sunday, April 11, 2021 , at Mt. Hebron UMC Cemetery . Due t o COVID - 19 social distancing wil l be observed and facial mas ks reques ted.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 10 years, Helen Lindler Porter Buff , a great niece and great nephew. Surviving is his brother, L. H. Buff, J r , of S partanbu rg and sister Elizabeth Buff Sloan (Jim) of Edgefield, SC , a n iec e Buffie Sloan Gnegy (Steve) of Summerville , and nephew Ja mes W. Sloan , II (Leigh) of Edgefield, SC , a great niece and three great nephews .
