Marion Douglas “Doug” West, Sr.

May 24, 1947 — August 11, 2022

Doug West, 75, Former owner of Doug's Rugs, and lifelong resident of Cayce/west Columbia, passed away on August 11, 2022.

He was born in Camden on May 24th, 1947, son of late Clyde and Willie Mae West. He is survived by his wife Patty, son Doug Jr (Kim), daughter Mandy (Ryan), grandson Dean, and granddaughters Jayde, Trista and Ragan. Step granddaughters Markie (Logan) and Shayna (Zac). Also two great granddaughters Claire and Emma. Also by his brothers Mike and Ricky and sisters, Carolyn, Barbara and Debra. Along with their spouses and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Jason and a brother Clyde.

He had a very long battle with Alzheimer's disease and will be missed by all of us.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00pm Sunday August 14, 2022 in the chapel of Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lybrand Cemetery.

Memorial can be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 235 pine Grove Rd. Leesville SC, 29070.
