Leroy (West) Hopkins

LeRoy Hopkins, also known as “West,” was born Sept. 19,

1949 in Eastover, S.C. to the late Joesph and Mary Jones

Hopkins. Roy departed this life on Jan. 10, 2016 at home

with loved ones.

At a very young age, he excelled in martial arts. He was

very kind-hearted, as well as a protector of his family.

Roy leaves behind cherished ones, his only son, Le’Roy

Benjamin Hopkins; granddaughter Felicia Hopkins.

He also leaves behind five sisters and five brothers:

Elizabeth (David) Campbell, Helena Kennerly, Alton

(Phyllis) Hopkins, Anthony (Louretta) Hopkins, Rufus

(Minnie) Hopkins, Rosemary (Rufus) Golf, Sharon

(Bernard) Taylor, James Hopkins, Melisa (Bernard)

Johnson and Eric Hopkins.

He also leaves behind two aunts: Juanita (Benjamin)

Ross and Janie Jones.
