Karen H. Horton

Karen ( K ay) Hunter Horton passed away peacefully on August 4, 2018 at Palmetto Health Ric hland Hospital.  Kay was born December 23, 1954, in Jefferson, SC to the late Robert Hunter and Sara Robertson Hunter.  She grew up in Kershaw, SC and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School . She received an Associate Degree in X-Ray Technology from Midlands Tech. Kay worked for Moore Orthopaedic Clinic for more than 40 years as an x-ray technician and office manager.

Kay is survived by husband Bobby E. Horton of West Columbia, SC as well as sisters Mary ( Ardell ) Young of Camden, SC, Angie ( Roger ) Faile of Kershaw, SC and brother Robert K. (Delaine) Hunter, Ringgold, GA.  She was predeceased by two brothers, Ronald M. Hunter and Larry E. Hunter.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 11, at First Baptist Church, West Columbia, SC , 400 State Street, West Columbia. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
