Julia Jackson Waters

Julia Jackson Waters, 51 of West Columbia passed away Friday February 26, 2021. She was born in Columbia, SC and was the daughter of Sharleen Carole Ockoskis and the late Kenneth Ray Jackson. Julia was raised by her maternal grandparents, Ethel and Walter Ockoskis. She was a graduate of Dreher High School. enjoyed listening to the Grateful Dead and Fleetwood Mac and was very musically inclined. Julia loved the USC Gamecocks, the New York Yankees, going to the river and Volkswagen “Bugs”.  She liked writing and journaling, arts and crafts and her favorite color was purple. Julia loved 80s and 90s sitcoms and was activist for liberal causes. She was a animal lover, particularly, Mister and Jacks. Julia is survived by her mother; siblings, Robyn Crosby, Megan Sapienza, Mallory Sapienza, Jade Sapienza and Travis (Jennifer) Jackson; nieces, Meadow Iris Sapienza-Chaney, Jovie Chalon Sapienza-Chaney and Logan Jackson; nephews, Carter and Leyton Versluis, Mason Hatcher and Tyler Kenneth Jackson; aunts and uncles, Stephanie Reik, Scarlett Lund; close friends, Richard Venable, Tracy Bostic and Chuck Dockery. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday March 6, 2021 at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service.
