Judith Jennings
October 13, 1939 — December 31, 2016
Mrs. Judith Jennings age 77 died on December 31, 2016 at Millennium Post Acute Rehabilitation in West Columbia after an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at North Trenholm Baptist Church at 5:00 pm Thursday January 5, 2017 with Rev. Joe Copeland officiating.
Mrs. Jennings was born October 13, 1939 in Columbia, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Salter D. Motley and Esther Motley Sexton. She was also proceeded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Hugh Garrett Jennings as well as her beloved daughter, Deidre Iberia Jennings. A graduate of Eau Claire High School as well as Columbia Beauty College. She owned Iberia’s Beauty School and was a certified cosmetology teacher as well as a Medical Assistant. Mrs. Jennings was a member of North Trenholme Baptist Church where she served in a variety of capacities to include teaching in both Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Butch) Owens and Danielle (JD) Hiltner; six grandchildren, Garrett (Brittany), Andrew, and Tyler Owens as well as Joseph, Jacob and Deidra Hiltner all of Columbia. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, David (Alice) Jennings of Rock Hill.
The family requests that in leu of flowers that a donation to the North Trenholm Baptist Church Building fund or a charity of your choice be made.
