John Thomas Sease, Sr.

May 8, 1943 — September 23, 2020

John Thomas Sease, Sr,, 77 years old of Monetta, SC went home to be with his Lord and Savior September 23, 2020.
John was very loving, compassionate, cared about others and loved his Lord who gifted him with many talents, among those being
carpentry, mechanic and appliance repair. Besides his love  for the Lord, he loved family and friends which included Gene Swygert
who was more like a brother and Miller Jacobs who was alwaysencouraging and lifting him up during some very difficult times. He loved
fishing, especially with his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Patty.  He was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan and on
Saturdays he could be found in the stands at Williams Brice Stadium or at home sitting on the edge of his seat with eyes glued to the television cheering on his Gamecocks!
Born May 8, 1943 to Terrell Franklin Sease and Lella Marcelia Thomas Sease Fincher near Francis Marion College in Florence, he grew
up in Irmo, SC.  He married Doris Ann Turner on December 6, 1964.   John is survived by his wife, Doris;  sons John Thomas Sease, Jr
and wife Patty;  Terrell Franklin Sease and his wife Daleen;   daughters Darlene Sease Greene and husband Dennis;  Anita Sease Bland
and husband William; Peggy Sue  Sease Stapleton and husband Scott; sisters Lorene Sease Mills, Tami Sease Redding and
Phyllis Sease Rogers.
John was predeceased by his son Timothy Allen Sease, his great granddaughter Pheonix Allen, both parents,  brothers Karl Sease, Julian Sease, Terrell Lee Sease and Robert Sease;
sisters Frances Sease Yelton, Louise Sease Odom, Eleanor Sease Walters and Alma Sease Hall.  John has numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who have their own stories about "Uncle John"  and how much they love him and what he has meant to them in their lives.
Visitation will take place Sunday, September 27, 2020 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 249 New Hope Road , Pelion.  Funeral will also be at the church from 2:30pm-4:00 pm .. Burial will be at Dust to Dust Cemetery, 205 Nulty Crossing, Swansea.
We ask that everyone please wear a mask out of respect for others who attend.  Anyone who knows John, knows that he would never want his funeral to cause his friends and family members to contract Coronavirus.
