Jason Glen Dorris

Jason, born July 10,1971, former resident of Columbia, SC and Asheville, NC died May1, 2025 at Lexington Medical Center.

He was the beloved son of Gloria and Tommy Dorrisand father of Willow, Jonah, and Liam Dorris. He is also survived by his former wife Jennifer, siblings Leigh and John and cherished and constant companion, dog Eli.

Jason had innumerable friends and touched all who knew him. He was a skilled carpenter, craftsman, artist, and intellect with a strong faith.

He owned his own flooring business, Old World Hardwoods, for 25 years and specialized in creating inlays and custom millwork for homes in North Carolina and South Carolina. Beyond flooring, he created beautiful cutting boards, birdhouses, sculptures, paintings, and much more.

Jason loved being outdoors, being with his family, and took great pride in his three children. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

A memorial will be held Saturday, June 14 2025. At The River Center at Saluda Shoals Park at 2pm and reception from 2-5pm
