James Jacques

James Braxton Jacques, 78, of Gaston, SC, passed away on January 7, 2024. He was born on September 18, 1945, in Columbia, SC to Charles and Helen Jacques.

James is survived by his loving wife, Ann Jacques, and their children: James M. Jacques, Michelle J. Phillips, Anthony Jacques, Melissa "Mel" Johnston, and Micky Dill. He was also a cherished grandfather to Tiffany Jacques, Amber Bowling, Candice Stone, Jordan Jacques, Jillian Jacques, Jarret Purvis, Steven Phillips Jr., Andrew Phillips, Alex Jacques, Alyssa Jacques, and Thomas Starnes.

In addition, James is survived by his siblings: Shirley Vogel, Charles "Tony" Jacques, Nancy Hammer, and Charlene Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Jacques, mother, Helen Jacques, sister, Jeannie Derrick, and step-daughter, Janice Starnes.

James worshipped at Lexington Kingdom Hall with his wife. Moseley Funeral Home in West Columbia, SC, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
