James "David" Huggins

James “David” Huggins, 74, of West Columbia passed away December 31, 2022.  David was born  October 29, 1948, in Memphis Tennessee to James F. and Carney W. Huggins.

David graduated from Dreher High School in 1966 and Midlands Technical college in 1972 with an Associate Degree in Accounting. David worked at different Credit Unions and as Bookkeeper for JHS Architecture Firm.  David also served in the Air Force National Guard for more than six years.

David was an avid Gamecock Football fan and attended every home football game for more than 40 years. David was also very active in youth baseball for many years, coaching at Pineview Baseball Field and Mohawk Baseball Field. David was a loyal member of Trinity Baptist church for over 45 years.

David is predeceased by his father James F. Huggins and his mother Carney W. Huggins. David is survived by his loving wife Cathy B. Huggins of 51 years, his son James Keith Huggins, daughter Brooke H. Ebener (Kenneth) his Grandson Hunter R. Huggins (Fiancee Delaney Aull) and step-grandchildren Clark Ebener, Brett Ebener and Lyndsey Ebener.

Funeral services for James David Huggins will be held at Trinity Baptist Church Thursday January 5, 2023. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. with the service to follow. Memorials made in David’s honor should be sent to Trinity Baptist Church, 2003 Charleston Hwy., Cayce, SC 29033
