.Jake Spires, 70, of Gaston passed away Wednesday, September 21,2022, at his home. Mr. Spires was born on May 1, 1952, to the late Junior and Eunice Spires.
Jake was a dedicated member of the Jamil Shriners in Columbia, South Carolina, for 40+ years, and was a member of the JamilTemple Racers. He enjoyed traveling with his loving partner,Dianne, and his Shriner brothers. He loved his furry companions, Puppy D and Blazey. He was a loyal and loving father to his three sons and grandfather to his six grandchildren. He was a dedicatedbusinessman, and an enthusiast of guns, classic cars, motorcycles, and trucks.
He is survived by his loving partner of 30 years, Dianne Young; his three sons, Jakie (Mandy), Christopher (Charity), and Travis (Melissa); his six grandchildren, Emili (Jason), Melodi, Drayton,Bennett, Braiden, and Brielle; two sisters, Lucy Rabon (Otis) and Connie Black (Jay); and his brother, Tommy Spires (Jeanette); along with seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior Spires and Eunice Spires; and his brother, Michael Spires.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 2-4 PM at Dunn’s Chapel Fellowship Hall, 281 Chapel Road, West Columbia, S. C.
