Jacqueline Thomas Caughman

Jacqueline Thomas Caughman, 93, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026.

Born on April 4, 1932, in Union, South Carolina, Jackie was raised in Columbia, South Carolina, where she attended Olympia High School. She dedicated 40 years of faithful service to Southern Bell before beginning a second career at Lexington Medical Center, where she continued working until the remarkable age of 84.

Jackie was a devoted woman of faith and a loving, loyal wife to her beloved husband, Robert “Bozy” Caughman. Their marriage of 66 years was a beautiful testament to commitment and enduring love. She was a longtime member of Saluda River Baptist Church, where she and Bozy worshiped faithfully.

Above all, Jackie treasured her family. She is survived by her two sons, Gary Caughman and Craig Caughman (Tiffini); her granddaughter, Emily Howell (Brent); and her great- grandson, Duke Howell. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

She is now reunited in her heavenly home with her loving husband, Robert “Bozy” Caughman; her father, William Thomas; her mother, Jessi Farr; and her sister, Patsy Hare.

A small graveside service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Southland Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate staff at Wellmore of Lexington for their wonderful care over the past year, and to Via Health Partners Hospice for the love and kindness shown during Jackie’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saluda River Baptist Church in her honor.

Jackie’s legacy of faith, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
