Jack (Spider) Neeley

August 7, 1932 — December 11, 2016

Jack Neeley entered into his heavenly home on Saturday December 11, 2016. He was born to the late Lester and Mary Barton Neeley on August 7, 1932. He graduated from University High School where he played basketball, during his senior year he was voted the Columbia area player of the year and was captain of the All State team in class B. He attended USC and was on the basketball team and served five years in the army.
Jack enjoyed shagging and was in the Shagging Hall of Fame and was a member of the Living Legends in North Myrtle Beach.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Tessie Rogers Neeley; son, Brian Neeley and daughter, Sonya Neeley; grandson, Shane Wiles and sister, Mozelle Cooper. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Wiles, sisters, Vermelle Murray and Lois Pound, brother, Alfred Neeley, niece, Georgia Rector and nephew, David Murray.
A memorial service will be held Sunday December 18, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Greene Street Methodist Church, the family will receive friends before the service beginning at 2:00pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice or to Greene Street or Brookland United Methodist Church.
