Helen Compton

Helen Elizabeth Gates Compton, age 93, passed away June 11, 2018 in Cayce, SC. She was born May 5, 1925 in Murrayville, IL. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family and animals.

Helen is survived by her children: Neil Gates (Jean), Gail Gates, Sara Snook (Bob), and Donna McLaughlin (Kevin), and son-in-law Jim Harrelson. She is also survived by one sister, Dot Petrie. She had 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Marilyn Harrelson.

Services will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Moseley Funeral & Cremation Service at 1:00pm . The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the funeral home.
