Harry Allen Cameron passed peacefully to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 20, 2020 on his 53 rd wedding anniversary. He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Connie, and now in the presence of his Savior.
Allen is survived by his children, Jennifer Cameron Johnson and Daniel Cameron, granddaughters ,Rachel(Chris), Chelsea(Caleb), and Katie, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Connie, parents, Alsie and Emmie Cameron, his sister and brother-in-law Martha Cameron and Sonny Fountain, niece and nephew Susan Lynn and Lawrence Fountain.
Allen was born to Emmie and Alsie Cameron in Florence, SC, and lived there until joining the US Navy. It was in the Navy that he met his wife, Connie. They married and moved to Columbia, SC to begin a career as a computer engineer with IBM, and continued that career until retirement.
Allen was a man of Faith and Prayer and lived it everyday. His love for his Savior shaped everything he did. Although he was a quiet man, His life of Love, Faith and Devotion spoke loudly to everyone around him. Allen would like you to know that you do not need to be sad, that he had a great life, that God blessed him richly, and that He is happy and at peace. He would most importantly like you to know that Jesus Loves You.
There will be a graveside celebration of Allen’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 29 th at 1 p.m. at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with a viewing from 11:00am to 12:30pm prior to the graveside at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lexington Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care while Allen was hospitalized. It is greatly appreciated and never to be forgotten.
