Gwendolyn (Delk) Fleming

Gwendolyn Delk Dennis Fleming, 91, of West Columbia passed away Thursday February 3, 2022 at her home. She was born in Blackville, SC, the daughter of the late Furman W. Delk, Jr. and Mildred Bonds Delk. Mrs. Fleming was a 1947 graduate of Brookland Cayce High School and attended USC. She worked in the insurance industry until well into her 80s and was a member of State Street Baptist Church of Cayce. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and was the matriarch of the Delk family. Mrs. Fleming is survived by her son, Barry Dennis and grandson, Shawn Dennis; sisters, Jackie Bradham and Wanda Phillips and brother, W. L. “Bo” Delk; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her spouses, Arthur Fleming and Isaac K. Dennis and brother, Phillip Dunbar Delk.
