Gilbert Bake

Mr. Gilbert Bake passed away Tuesday May 24, 2016, at the age of 80, following a brief illness.

Gil was born in Detriot, Michigan on June 12, 1935, to the late Gilbert and Katherine Bake. He attended the Transfiguration Lutheran Church, Cayce, SC and retired from Wells Fargo, Columbia, SC.

He was predeceased by his brother Norman Bake and best friend James Groves.

He is survived by his brother Timothy Bake, a very special cousin Diane Wellnitz and special friend Barry Hoover. Adopted brothers Otis and Danny Paris, and adopted sisters Carolyn Walters, Frances Ferrell and Barbara NeSmith.

Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. His ashes will be placed at Olympia Cemetary, Columbia, SC, following a graveside service at 11 a. m., Saturday May 28, 2016 .
